Programmed robots created a language of their own

OpenAI laboratory founded by Elon Musk keeps on researching possibilities of machine intelligence.  This time a language became a result of an experiment provided upon robots, which was developed in order to provide with communication between each other and effectively accomplish general tasks.

Wired website informs that at the moment the language of robots is primitive but they demonstrate an interesting approach in this defining each other, surrounding objects and notions like “walk”, “stand”, “look” with certain symbols.

It took some time for robots to learn talking. They kept trying to understand one another through cut and try method trying to orient in their world and communicate between each other. If some of the communicative methods seemed to be not effective enough, they put it aside and applied other options, which seemed more appropriate.

American hospitals will begin 3D printing prostheses:

3D printers Stratasys producer informs that the company`s representatives signed up a contract about cooperation with United States Department of Veterans Affairs. A new partner program will become a result of collaborative activity within which Stratasys will set up 3D devices for printing in hospitals serving disabled veterans of war.

The equipment is planned to be provided with all the necessary components, supplies and combine into a net, due to which printers and other devices will be able to exchange with data and gather statistics. To start with printers will be installed in five American hospitals only after which the personnel is going to be taught how to use them.

Stratasys head is sure that in a few years the company will be able to provide everyone who needs with prostheses and help people to adopt to them and live a full life. He explains that 3D printing keeps developing and already now it changed a lot an industry of public health, which is why it is necessary to put it into action no matter what.

Stratasys company is famous after releasing 3D printer, which is able to print details of big sizes. The ways to use a device were found soon in aerospace field. Boening, Siemens and Ford got interested in the news after that. It is possible to print an interior of a plane, for example, at a heat.

Swatch develops an operational system of their own for smart watches:

For example, a famous Swedish watch producer Swatch works upon new operational system for smart watches.

Hot on the heels of WatchOS and Android Wear, an operational system of Swatch is to come out, which does not have an official name as of yet. Swedish watch producer with more than 30 years of history does not want to produce watches based on already existing solutions. The president of the company Nick Hayek told journalists from Bloomberg that it was decided to create a platform of its own for Swatch supporting by the best specialists from Swedish center on electronics development.

Advantages of an operational system of one`s own are in its reliance, also best optimization, which will be seen if to pay attention to the time of the battery working. The first smart-watches on the base of Swatch should be for sale in 2018 and the first model of Tissot line is going to be the first one. Earlier, this watch were planned to be produced based on Android Wear but the company management had serious worries as for how reliable Google platform is. This is why the release was decided to postpone until better days.

It should be mentioned that the president of Swatch earlier performed with an announcement that it is no good because of the small accumulator volume the existing on the market watches have. He said that he wants to design a watch, which is able to work for half a year at least on the same battery. Later, the company shared the mass media with information that its development engineers managed to create the smallest Bluetooth chip in the world, which practically consumes no energy. Well, we shall see about that and whether Swatch will be able to turn our image about smart watches in the future upside down.
